Report: Han Solo Prequel Casting for Young Lando Calrissian
We still don't know if we need a young Han Solo movie, but we have to admit, this is pretty cool. A new report claims that the Han Solo prequel anthology movie is currently casting another familiar face from the franchise: Lando Calrissian.

According to The Wrap, Disney is currently casting for Lando under the codename "Chance," an in-joke about the character's love for gambling. Lando, who was played by Billy Dee Williams in the original trilogy, has a long and eventful friendship with Han in the Star Wars universe. Most famously, they were best friends until Han won the Millennium Falcon from Lando in a game of sabacc prior to the events of A New Hope. Since the Han Solo movie takes place a few years before Episode IV, we'll probably get to see that scene unfold onscreen if this report is true.

The report doesn't cite a specific source, and even says that "Lucasfilm reps declined to comment," so this should definitely be taken with a grain of salt. But still, this casting news would only make sense, considering that Han and Lando were friends during this time period. Now we just have to cross our fingers and hope that they cast Donald Glover, Chadwick Boseman, or Michael B. Jordan.

The as-yet-untitled Han Solo prequel is slated to hit theaters on May 25, 2018.
