It's Official: The Guardians of the Galaxy Will Appear in Avengers: Infinity War
At this point, it seems like every single Marvel character is going to show up in Avengers: Infinity War. But of all the fan favorites we hoped would be included, the Guardians of the Galaxy seemed the most likely to be left out, since Infinity War will probably be mostly Earth-bound. But apparently, even the Guardians are getting in on the Infinity War action, as Vin Diesel confirmed to his fans today.

Diesel, who has the third most-liked page on Facebook with over 100 million followers (which, what??), shared the news via Facebook live stream:

Opening quote
"You remember the first picture after that Marvel meeting that I had where I was standing [with] the Avengers thing in the back… What's gonna be surreal is that picture is going to come to pass because now the Guardians will be included in Avengers: Infinity Wars [sic] and that's incredibly exciting. Incredibly exciting. Incredibly exciting and something that if you were a part of our page you knew before everybody."
Closing quote

Diesel is referring to a picture he took in July 2013 in the Marvel offices, presumably when he was first closing the deal for his role in Guardians of the Galaxy. Now, he will clearly appear in Avengers: Infinity War, which hopefully means that Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Bradley Cooper, and Dave Bautista are all safe bets, and maybe even new team additions Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, and Pom Klementieff.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 hits theaters on May 5, 2017, while Avengers: Infinity War comes out on May 4, 2018.
