Watch: UFO Debunker Fields Questions From UFO Believers
Blake Cousins, the controversial host of the UFO radio show, 'Third Phase of Moon', invited renowned debunker and sceptic Robert Scheaffer (badufos.com) to come onto his show for a discussion about the UFO phenomenon.
It takes a fair bit of courage for someone like Scheaffer to come into a potentially hostile environment such as a 'Third Phase of Moon' phone-in, but that is the nature of the constant battle between sceptics and believers. Both sides vehemently believe that they are correct, a fact that creates some truly fascinating debates.
This 30 minute slot is no exception to that rule. Scheaffer refers to the poor credibility of many UFO sightings reporters, suggesting that it is no coincidence that many of them come from small, remote parts of the USA. In rebuttal Cousins points Scheaffer towards the likes of highly intelligent Ufologists such as Stanton T. Friedman, someone Scheaffer has tussled with on a number of occasions.
Throughout the 30 minutes, the debate covers a range of interesting topics including time-travel, nuclear powered travel technologies and Christianity's role in the UFO phenomena. Unfortunately , Scheaffer was unable to resist the urge to refer to Cousin's and his audience's reputation as hoaxers, but then again, nobody expected this to be a clean fight!
