The Walking Dead: Did Michael Cudlitz Just Reveal Abraham's Fate?
As we all know, there are eleven characters who are currently on Negan's chopping block going into season seven, which can be narrowed down to three or four most likely candidates. Now, one of the most likely actors to meet Lucille might have just spoiled his character's fate, so obviously-

Potential spoilers ahead!!

In a recent interview with Popsugar, Michael Cudlitz aka Abraham discussed the decision to give his character's comic death to Denise, and how that will impact the show going forward:
Opening quote
Well, [Robert] Kirkman was never happy with the death Abraham had in the graphic novels. He always said it was sort of a last-minute decision and that he regretted how he took him out... Her death spurs on a whole bunch of other stuff, and then the audience knows that Abraham will continue for a while now. Now we get to see what a world with Negan and Abraham both in it will be like. That's something we don't see in the graphic novels. So a lot of cool stuff happens. For me, knowing that his potential death had come and gone, it was a moment to go, "Oh cool, they really aren't going to stick with what the graphic novel does." As a fan of both the novel and the show, it was cool.
Closing quote

He seems to be very heavily implying that his character survives the season premiere, if he felt that his character was essentially safe for a significant period of time after his comics death. There's a chance that he's simply talking about his reaction at the time, and his extended lifespan only lasted a few more episodes, but it sounds like he thinks his character will stick around for a while. Many fans have been speculating that Negan kills both Glenn and Abraham in the premiere, so if Cudlitz's statements can be trusted, we'll all need to reevaluate our predictions.

However, there are a few reasons to think that he could easily be lying. First, the actors are generally working incredibly hard to avoid spoilers, so it's possible that he's just trying to throw fans off the track. In fact, the network would probably be angry if he heavily implied that Abraham lived and it turned out to be true, but they probably wouldn't care if it were a lie. But also, we're still pretty convinced that it's Abraham and Glenn, especially since paparazzi hasn't seen either Steven Yeun or Cudlitz filming past episode one. Plus, the cast is just in the middle of filming 7b right now, and Cudlitz attended an event with Gale Ann Hurd in Edinburgh just three days ago, while the rest of the cast is shooting in Atlanta.
