Watch John Oliver Poke Fun at 'Suicide Squad'
It looks like we can count John Oliver among those who didn't care for Suicide Squad. The comedian and talk show had some fun at the film's expense during a web only clip from his show Last Night Tonight, but don't worry Squad fans, he rips into Deadpool and Batman v Superman, too - the latter of which he refers to as "Sad Man vs Super Sad Man."

But the purpose of Oliver's rant isn't just to trash superhero movies. Oh no, he wants to improve them. Specifically, he wants a movie about Johnny Strong - a superhero that he himself created in 5th grade. So is Johnny Strong really deserving of a movie? Oliver seems to think so. The bit is lacking the usual biting satire that is the calling card of Oliver's show, and instead has the host give a pretty straightforward telling of a tale he claims to have invented as a youth. It's not really satirical or cynical, and instead really does seem like a story a little kid might come up with. So is that the satire then? That superhero movies are meant for, and potentially conceived by, children? I don't know, but take a look at the clip below and see if you can figure it out.
