Is James Wan Teasing Aquaman’s Shooting Location?
There's been a lot of news coming from the set of Justice League this week, but not a lot has been said concerning the DCEU's other upcoming movies. Wonder Woman comes out in June of next year, and after Justice League's release in November, The Flash and Aquaman are next up for the big screen treatment, with respective releases in March and July.

That makes Aquaman fourth in line for the cinema, and from the looks of it, DC is taking it's time with the King of Atlantis, making preparations far in advance for Arthur Curry's first solo outing. That's great to hear, as a slow and steady approach to filmmaking seems to be something that Warner Bros. hasn't been too big on with their last few DC films. Hopefully, having things planned so far in advance will give them the time they need to perfect the script and prepare for the day Aquaman comes to life on the big screen.

Part of that preparation is finding the right filming location, and judging by this new post on director James Wan's Instagram, it seems they may have finally found one.

The location of this image is the Amalfi Coast off the Salerno Gulf in southern Italy. Though it's possible that Wan just wanted to get a cool vacation picture with the sea-side castle, it's also easy to imagine the castle in a CGI waterscape at the bottom of the ocean. Though there's no way to confirm at the moment, could this be the shooting location for Aquaman?

Though Aquaman has got a bad rap in the past for talking to fish, the character was largely reinvented by Geoff Johns in the New 52 era. It's also been reported that Johns was at work on the script for the Aquaman film as well, which certainly inspires confidence, seeing his previous experience with recreating the character for a brand new audience. From the looks of it, however, Jason Momoa will have no problem showing the world that his Aquaman is nothing like that guy from Super Friends.

Aquaman is currently scheduled for a release on July 27, 2018.
