New Featurette Previews the Origins of Doctor Strange
Comic book fans have been anticipating Marvel's upcoming Doctor Strange movie for quite some time. Though there's been a bit of controversy regarding certain casting decisions, the MCU's first delve into the realm of the mystic is causing a lot of excitement, especially with the immensely popular Benedict Cumberbatch taking the leading role. Now, with less than two months to go, Marvel has released a brand new featurette that previews the origins of the character and gives fans a closer look into the breathtaking and fantastic cinematic world of Doctor Strange.

The video tells the origin story of Doctor Strange by detailing how the master neurosurgeon tragically lost his talent in a car crash when he suffered nerve damage in his hands from the impact. He then went out looking for a cure, but what he found was far stranger than he ever imagined.

The featurette also gives fans a brief look into the mind of Doctor Strange. When describing the character, Cumberbatch mentions that he's "incredibly arrogant, brilliant, sort of extraordinary." That's not too far off base from some of the other roles Cumberbatch has played in, and from the looks of his track record, he could end up blowing us all away.

Doctor Strange will be the last comic book movie of the year, and superhero fans everywhere should be ready to see 2016 go out with a bang. Everything looks great so far, and there's a lot of reasons to be hopeful that Doctor Strange will meet (and maybe even exceed) expectations.

Doctor Strange hits theaters on November 4th.
