The Flashpoint Paradox is coming in the third season, and that can only mean one thing (or two things): The Flash and Kid Flash running side-by-side. (Just don't call him Kid Flash.)

This extended trailer for season three once again shows us the world of Flashpoint: Iris and Barry are near-strangers, Cisco is the richest man in the country, and Wally West has taken over Flash duties. At first, Barry is relieved, but then realizes that he's about to forget his powers and his former life, which this trailer lays out more explicitly.

We also get a closer look at the new speedster villain, The Rival, played by The Vampire Diaries' Todd Lasance. In the comics, The Rival's alter ego was Edward Clariss, a professor of Jay Garrick's who wanted the credit for inventing Velocity 9. He looks to be a typical speedster villain, but fans can rest assured that the Big Bad this year, Savitar, will be different from the rest

Here's the synopsis for the premiere episode:

Opening quote
WHAT WOULD YOU SACRIFICE TO HAVE EVERYTHING YOU'VE EVER WANTED? - Barry is living his dream life – his parents are alive, he's asked Iris West on a date and he can finally be a normal guy as Central City has another speedster, Kid Flash, running around saving the city. When Barry starts forgetting parts of his old life, the Reverse Flash taunts his nemesis and tells him that there will be serious repercussions for Barry and the ones he loves if he continues to live in this alternate universe. In addition to losing his memories, his powers will also start to fade. When disaster strikes, Barry must decide if he wants to continue to live in this world as Barry Allen or return to his universe as The Flash.
