The Twin Peaks Revival Gets a Mysterious Musical Teaser
The Twin Peaks revival already had the most important elements from the original show—David Lynch and most of the original cast—but an eerie new teaser confirms one more returning element that will make hardcore fans very happy. A video released by Showtime shows original composer Angelo Badalamenti in a teaser for the continuation of the series, and if that's not enough, he's playing Laura Palmer's theme music:

David Lynch confirmed via Twitter that Badalementi would return for the revival, meaning that we can expect the same surrealistic, synth-infused soundtrack from the original. This will continue the composer's long-running relationship with the director, as he also scored films like Mulholland Drive and The Straight Story.

The Twin Peaks revival will see the return of cast members Kyle MacLachlan (Special Agent Dale Cooper), Sheryl Lee (Laura Palmer), Sherilyn Fenn (Audrey Horne), Mädchen Amick (Shelly Johnson) and Ray Wise (Leland Palmer) Michael Horse (Deputy Hawk), Dana Ashbrook (Bobby Briggs), Miguel Ferrer (Albert Rosenfeld), Peggy Lipton (Norma Jennings), and Everett McGill (Ed Hurley). All-star newcomers include Amanda Seyfried, Naomi Watts, Balthazar Getty, Tim Roth, Michael Cera, Jennifer Jason Leigh, and Ashley Judd. The series is set to come out on Showtime sometime in 2017.
