A Spider-Man Sequel Is Already in the Works
Spider-Man: Homecoming is one of the most anticipated films in the future of the MCU, and although Marvel technically doesn't know how it will perform yet, fan reaction to Tom Holland in Civil War probably means Spider-Man is a safe bet. So, naturally, they're already planning a sequel, before any of us has even seen the first trailer.

While promoting his new film, The Lost City of Z, Holland revealed that the sequel is officially in the works, to the point that the writers are already talking about which villain they're going to use:

Opening quote
"My next project, I can't tell you about, but we've just finished 'Spider-Man' and we're talking about the second one and who the villain is going to be and where we're going," he told WWD.
Closing quote

This isn't too much of a surprise, since both Marvel and Spider-Man are pretty reliable hits. But still, it's exciting to hear that they're already in the planning stages. Hopefully this means that they're far enough in post-production that the footage looks great, and we'll be seeing some of it (aside from that tease at SDCC) very soon.

Spider-Man: Homecoming hits theaters on July 7, 2017.
