Hugh Jackman Reveals First Bit of Logan Footage Ahead of Trailer Tomorrow
Trailer teases are par for the course now in the 24-hour news cycle, and usually they're not terribly exciting. The first Logan footage might be an exception to that rule, though, since it's left us asking a question we never thought we would be asking: is this movie entirely in black-and-white?
We've seen a few production stills from Logan, including an ancient Professor X, some Old Man Logan teasers, Boyd Holbrook's Donald Pierce, a picture of the mutant Caliban, and finally, Hugh Jackman's battle-scarred Wolverine. And what do all of these pictures have in common, other than being epic and a little emo? They're all in black-and-white, as is the first footage that was teased by Hugh Jackman.
Will the entire movie be in monochrome? That would be incredibly exciting, and much artsier than we've come to expect from X-Men movies. Considering the R-rating and the insistence that this film is "different" from the others, we wouldn't be surprised if they were trying to make it seem like an old-timey Western. Or, it's also possible that this is just a cool marketing gimmick. We'll have to wait and see when the trailer comes out tomorrow.
Logan hits theaters on March 3, 2017.
