Deadpool 2 Wants John Wick Director to Replace Tim Miller
The highly anticipated Deadpool sequel experienced a significant setback this week when original director Tim Miller dropped out, reportedly due to creative differences with Ryan Reynolds. Now, they might already have a new, genre-friendly director: John Wick helmer David Leitch.
According to a report from Mashable, Leitch is the frontrunner to replace Miller for the sequel. There is no official offer yet, and several other directors are technically still in the running, but Mashable writes that "by most accounts, 20th Century Fox has found its man." (They could have hired a woman too, but whatever.)

Leitch is no stranger to geek culture, having worked as stunt coordinator on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Blade, Daredevil, Tron: Legacy, The Matrix: Revolutions, and even as Brad Pitt's stunt double in Fight Club. He also worked as an assistant director on Captain America: Civil War, and, funnily enough, was the action coordinator for X-Men Origins: Wolverine, which included the much-despised version of Deadpool.

Deadpool 2 hits theaters on January 12, 2018.
