More Details on Luke Skywalker's Costume in Episode VIII
At long last, we finally saw a brief glimpse of Luke Skywalker at the end of The Force Awakens, wearing very monk-esque regal white robes. But according to inside sources, he'll be wearing a very different costume when he returns in Episode VIII, and new leaks have given us a few more details on his new getup.

Possible spoilers follow!

Back in April, Making Star Wars leaked a description of Luke Skywalker's outfit in Episode VIII, which reportedly consists of black robes that are "evocative of his Return of the Jedi clothes in cut and color." They claimed that he has a dark grey cape that is draped over his shoulders like a shawl, as well as his black glove from ROTJ.

Now, MSW has released more details on the costume, including an artist's impression by Lumberjack Nick. They report that he is not carrying a lightsaber, but rather a thin instrument, like a walking stick or spear. The costume is supposedly worn during a scene in which Rey is "frustrated with Luke's teachings."

The costume looks pretty cool, and is definitely a throwback to the original trilogy. There seems to be disagreement from inside sources whether Luke actually carries a lightsaber at all, and if he doesn't, that will likely be very important to his arc in Episode VIII.

Star Wars: Episode VIII hits theaters on December 15, 2017.
