First 'Game of Throne' Season 7 Teaser Airs on HBO
Fans have now gotten their first official look at Game of Thrones season 7, thanks to a brief teaser that aired on HBO before Sunday night's episode of Westworld.
An HBO "Coming in 2017" commercial featured the briefest of looks at next season, showing quick glances of Sansa Stark, Arya Stark, and Jon Snow. Sansa appeared to be standing at Winterfell while Jon & Arya were both on horseback (separately). Not a ton of information can be gleaned from the teaser, except for probably one thing: This should be a big year for the Starks.
Think about it. By omitting other major characters in the teaser like Cersei, Jaime, Tyrion, and especially Daenerys, the show is basically saying that the North is going to be where the action lies this season. And if the North is where the action lies, than it's probably a safe bet that at least some of that action revolves around the series' true villains: The White Walkers and their army of the undead.
Winter has been coming ever since season 1, and now that it's finally arrived in time for season 7, it should be House Stark's time to shine as they rally around their words and save the realm - or die trying.
