A DC Streaming Service Might Be on the Way
Netflix is currently winning the streaming battle thanks in part to their deal with Disney, which gives them first rights to air content like Star Wars and Marvel movies (Captain America: Civil War hits the service on Christmas), but they might soon have some competition from Warner Bros. and DC.

At an investor conference on November 29, WB Chief Kevin Tsujihara said that the studio is seriously looking at debuting its own streaming service that would be exclusively for DC content. His goal is to "capitalize on [DC's] rabid fan base," and he acknowledged that the DC streaming service is something Warner Bros. has been "working on quite feverishly over the last 12 months."

While not a done deal, this is certainly reason for DC fans to get excited. While the DCEU isn't anything to write home about, at least not yet, the service would presumably include the (mostly) stellar Batman and Superman movie back catalogues in addition to the newer DC movies. The plethora of quality DC television shows over the decades, both animated and live action, would also be of interest to many people; especially those of which aren't currently streaming anywhere.

We'll have to keep an eye out for this service in the future, but if and when it does arrive, Netflix and Disney could have some serious competition on their hands.
