'Westworld' Reveals Finale Synopsis And Photos Ahead of Premiere
Since we got the trailer for Westworld's finale (along with the assurance that it won't be a surreal mess), fans have been weaving all kinds of theories about how the final episode, "The Bicameral Mind," will play out. The good money is that everything will go horribly wrong, but the official HBO synopsis (released today) is keeping things mum:

Opening quote
Ford (Anthony Hopkins) unveils his bold new narrative; Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood) embraces her identity; Maeve (Thandie Newton) sets her plan in motion.
Closing quote

Some new photos were also released, showing Teddy and a street full of dead bodies, Dolores and the Man in Black standing together, and Maeve and the group trying to escape:

The synopsis doesn't say much, but the hints are pretty clear: Ford is probably going to unveil a new park (possibly Medieval World), Dolores will finally become self-aware, and Maeve's plan will probably fail cataclysmically. It's important to remember Season 2 of Westworld has already been approved, and Michael Crichton's original film included a Western World, a Medieval World, and a Roman World, so there's no shortage of possibilities (though HBO already has a Medieval World—it's called Game of Thrones).

One thing we do know is that the finale will answer the vast majority of fans' questions and (probably) end up being a mind-bending, satisfying ending to one of the weirdest, most violent, and innovative shows on TV.
