Don't Expect Aliens in Arrow, The Flash, or LOT Post-Crossover
Tonight is the last night of the huge four-show DCTV crossover, starting with Supergirl on Monday, then The Flash on Tuesday, Arrow on Wednesday, and ending with Legends of Tomorrow tonight. Since Supergirl is the thread connecting all of the shows, the villains were suitably extraterrestrial, loosely adapting the Invasion! storyline from the comics. But after the team defeats the Dominators, we shouldn't expect aliens to show up on any of the CW shows other than Supergirl.

According to executive producer Andrew Kreisberg, there are no plans to bring more extraterrestrial villains to Arrow, The Flash, or Legends:

Opening quote
"It feels like every show has sort of doubled down on what it's about," Kreisberg said at a recent screening of the crossover (via Comicbook.com). "With Arrow, we've really returned more to the sort of gritty crime drama that it originally was. There's so many echos in this season to the earlier seasons. The Flash has the metahumans and Legends of Tomorrow has time travel and Supergirl doubled down on the alien aspect. I think that's what makes the shows feel different so that you're not watching four hours of the same stuff every week. You're really getting a different flavor and a different world. Whereas, now that possibility's opened, that because they have all faced aliens, there's certainly no plans to have an ongoing or bring up an alien storyline on Arrow. That really feels like the purview of Supergirl."
Closing quote

Although this crossover has led to one of the best episodes of Arrow in years, overall this is good news. As he said, this season of Arrow has been more successful because it returned to its gritty, realistic roots, and The Flash has perfected its own formula. It's a good sign that Berlanti and co. have specific visions for all of the respective shows and will maintain their different tones, regardless of how much we love the occasional crossover.

The mega-crossover concludes with Legends of Tomorrow tonight at 8pm on The CW.
