Zazie Beetz of 'Atlanta' Will Play Domino in ‘Deadpool 2’
Amidst casting rumors for whom will play Cable in the coming (but not soon enough) Deadpool 2, creators have found an actress to play fellow mutant Domino. German-born Zazie Beetz will be portraying the mutant with the ability to manipulate probability, or in simpler terms, be incredibly lucky.
Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds announced the news on twitter using dominoes (what else?):

He followed that up with an edit of Beetz' head on the comic character's body.

One could say that befitting her character, Beetz was also pretty lucky to land the role, not to diminish her already long resume. She is known for her role as Van on FX's Atlanta alongside Donald Glover (who will play Lando in the new Han Solo film) as Van, her stint on Easy alongside Dave Franco as Noelle, and her upcoming part in Finding Her as Keysha. It's great to see Marvel adding some more diversity to the cast.
Domino, or Neena Thurman, was brought into the world by a secret government program trying to create human weapons, the plan backfired when Domino was rescued by her biological mother and raised for the rest of her childhood with a priest in Chicago. Not taking the priest's teachings too close to heart, she went on to join Six Pack, a group of murderers.
Domino, as we know her, made her debut in the 1992 Marvel comic, X-Force #8. A character named Domino premiered with Deadpool in the 1991 Marvel comic, New Mutants #98, however, she turned out to be Copycat, who was played by Morena Baccarin in the first film.
Deadpool 2 is set to hit theaters sometimes in 2018.
