'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2' Will Have Five Post-Credits Scenes
@screenrant Well, five, actually. ?— James Gunn (@JamesGunn) April 18, 2017
As for the movie itself, initial reviews are coming in from those lucky fans who've had the chance to see the movie ahead of its May 5th release date, and according to Twitter, it's the best thing since 8-tracks:
GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 is exciting, funny, gorgeous & a helluva tearjerker. For many, it will become their new favorite Marvel movie pic.twitter.com/Po4ZOSPs8Q— ErikDavis (@ErikDavis) April 18, 2017
Don't think I've heard so much laughter at a press screening. People seemed to really be digging Guardians Vol. 2. Can't say more (yet)— Aaron Couch (@AaronCouch) April 18, 2017
That said, it's important to remember that the early Twitter reviews from almost any movie are overwhelmingly popular. Studios deliberately pack their theaters full of the kinds of fans who are just happy to be there, and who have proven an existing love of the franchise in question. Among the gushing from fans, there are a few detractors who suggest that Vol 2 wasn't quite as good as the first movie:
The problem w/ GOTG2 is that the VFX threaten to swallow the film, which is way too long & too reliant on music cues. Too much family drama.— Jeff Sneider (@TheInSneider) April 18, 2017
At this point, we're going to see the movie anyway. With five post-credits scenes, that's worth the price of admission by itself.
Guardians of the Galaxy hits US theaters on May 5th, 2017.
