'Star Wars Battlefront II' Ad Reveals Rey and Kylo Ren's 'Last Jedi' Outfits
Lucasfilm/Disney
While we won't know for sure until Star Wars: The Last Jedi comes out this December, Rey's Jedi training seems to be coming along well. There's been some hinting in the past that Rey would look more like a Jedi in the next movie, the recent trailer only showed her in her Force Awakens garb.

But of all places, it was the next Battlefront game that gave a good look at the new Rey (Daisy Ridley) and the new Kylo Ren (Adam Driver). In a promotional image posted on Gamestop Ireland's website, a Star Wars Battlefront II image pushing people to pre-order included some production stills as presumable placeholders for "Last Jedi exclusive themed looks and ability upgrades."

See for yourself - it's not the most high-resolution image out there, but the small text at the bottom of each images says "Movie production stills, not actual in-game images":

Kylo Ren, as some rumors predicted, doesn't look too different from before. Besides a faint scar on his face (courtesy of a certain blue lightsaber), he seems to be dressing in some big shoulder pads now, which seems very in-character for a wannabe Sith who really wants to look tough. His cape looks thicker too, so his love for Darth Vader hasn't changed much.

But Rey looks much more like a Jedi now, wearing a set of robes very reminiscent of the prequels' Jedi outfits. It looks partly like something Obi-Wan would've worn (and what could that possibly mean?) while still not changing drastically from Rey's style of dress from Force Awakens. It's the same image that was half-revealed when Rey's headshot appeared on some Last Jedi toy boxes, but this is the first time we're seeing the whole thing.

Unlike the marketing for Force Awakens, which went through a lot of trouble to hide the reveal that Rey was a Jedi (remember when all the ads showed Finn holding the lightsaber?), this film's not trying to hide any of that, which means we'll hopefully get to see a lot more of Rey being awesome in the near future.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi comes out December 15, 2017, while Battlefront II comes out shortly before on November 17, 2017.
