'Jurassic World 2', 'The Predator' and More Films Unveil Their First Posters
Universal
The Las Vegas Licensing Expo is happening right now, and most of the major movie studios are there hawking wares from their upcoming films. And that includes a number of upcoming science fiction films, many of which are finally showing off new promo materials like posters - in a few cases, their very first posters. So let's take a look and see what we've learned:

The Predator

Shane Black's upcoming reboot of the '80s Predator franchise apes a quote from the original film, but with a twist. While Arnold Schwarzenegger's Dutch referred to the titular alien as "one ugly motherf-ker," here we see Olivia Munn's character Casey quoted as saying, "You are one beautiful motherf-ker." This tells us the film is honoring its past but doing so with a sense of humor, which sounds promising overall. Now if only they were able to get Arnold to come back.

Jurassic World 2

The poster for Jurassic World 2 is pretty simple. People like dinosaurs, might as well stick with what works. Although we wouldn't have minded seeing a little Jeff Goldblum as Ian Malcolm

Alita: Battle Angel

This long-gestating film Alita: Battle Angel, based on a manga, finally heads to theaters next year with James Cameron producing and Robert Rodriguez directing. This one also includes a quote, with the title character proclaiming, "I do not stand by in the presence of evil," which should give you a pretty good idea of her standard, heroic character. Now let's hope it turns out better than Ghost in the Shell.

Bumblebee

We'd heard a couple months ago that Transformers was spinning off into a film about Bumblebee, directed by Travis Knight (Kubo and the Two Strings). But wow, Paramount really is just calling their spinoff Bumblebee. Uh, cool.

Spider-Man The Animated Movie

Lastly, Sony unveiled two posters featuring a cool graffiti-style logo for the animated Miles Morales Spider-Man movie. It's completely different from the super clean Spider-Man: Homecoming posters, which hopefully means the animated film will take on an anarchist spirit when it hits theaters in winter 2018.
