'Jurassic World 2' Gains New Title and a Tagline Quoting the Original Film

Branding is everything, especially in the world of horribly dangerous amusement parks with suspiciously poor health and safety records. If you can name your park something catchy enough, people might just forget about all the deaths that happen on the premises.

Jurassic World 2 now has a title which is fairly generic, and a tagline which is decidedly more inspired:

The movie is now officially titled Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, as has been revealed on a new poster. This likely ties into the movie's theme, as, according to what snippets of plot information we've been privy to, this film will explore the wider world of living dinosaurs away from the iconic theme park, with the giant lizards begin spreading out across the planet, their relationship with humans evolving in what will surely be a very bone-crunching way.

The new tagline for Fallen Kingdom, "Life finds a way," is significantly more memorable than the film's title. In all honesty, Universal probably should have just called this movie Jurassic World: Life Finds a Way, as it'd speak far more about this movie's connections to its wider franchise, and will better remind audiences that this time they've got Jeff Goldblum back.

Except, hang on - the poster's misquoted Dr Ian Malcolm. The correct quote is, uh, a little different.

It's not "Life finds a way". That's great and all, but it's missing the Goldblum flair that writer Colin Trevorrow has been talking up so much lately. This movie should really be titled Jurassic World: Life, uh, Finds a Way. Boom. Instant billion dollar movie.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is scheduled to come out June 22, 2018.
