We've called Escape Velocity the best sci-fi con you've never heard of. Now we're giving away 5 pairs of Weekend Passes to the event, which will get you into all three days of programming, the exhibit floor, and select evening activities (ie, cosplay dance parties). Escape Velocity is an event put on by the Washington DC-based Museum of Science Fiction that hits the sweet spot between science and sci-fi. It's one of the only places where you can hear from NASA scientists and the creator of Star Trek's Klingon language in the same day. The Boston Sci-Fi Film Festival is putting on screenings of short indie films (including on of our favorites, Olfactory) at the event, alongside demonstrations by DC movie fight choreographers, Escape the Room games, and way, way more. Here are some of the events we're looking forward to the most:
