Star Wars: The Last Jedi is set to take over every theater in the galaxy in just two short months, even though it feels like an eternity. As the studio and advertisers gear up for the big push in the coming weeks, fans are hungry for more information about the story, the characters, and every possible new detail about the universe. The largest resource for all things Star Wars is the official Databank over on StarWars.com, and its latest update includes images and descriptions that will get you primed and ready for December 15th.

Included among the new entries in the Databank is a listing for an uninhabited mineral planet named Crait, a newly introduced member of the Resistance named Rose, images and details about a couple new BB units, and an official description of Porgs, the cute, furry creatures that are already stealing hearts and taking over the toy market. Here are a few of the new characters, creatures, ships, and locations for you to add to your mental databank.

Porg

Small, flat-muzzled avians that flock about the rocks and roost in the cliffs of Luke Skywalker's secluded island, porgs are inquisitive creatures.

Rose

Part of the support crew that keeps the Resistance starfighters flying, Rose has hated the First Order since she was a child. Now able to fight back against the enemy, Rose keeps her focus on her mission.

Crait

Now uninhabited, Crait is a mineral world dusted by a layer of white salt, reflecting the planet's sunlight. It was once the site of a Rebel Alliance outpost, and has become a haven for the fleeing Resistance forces.

Resistance Ski-Speeder

An older design pre-dating the Rebel Alliance, these low-altitude, high power ski speeders use a stabilizer strut to keep balance when zipping across alien terrain.

BB-9E

The First Order benefits from the latest technology across all its activities. This includes having dark, gleaming BB astromech units of their own that keep their starships and machinery operational.

TIE Silencer

Reminiscent in design of the Empire's TIE interceptor and Darth Vader's TIE advanced, Kylo Ren's TIE silencer is an angular fighter equipped with laser cannons and missile launchers. Ren is an expert pilot — thanks to skills passed down from his father — which he puts to use in exploiting his ship's speed and ferocity. There is no other First Order craft like the TIE silencer, and it is an effective tool in Ren's mission to destroy the Resistance.

First Order Stormtrooper Executioner

The First Order can only operate effectively with the absolute loyalty of its followers. Should any soldier be found guilty of treason, it is up to this special branch of Stormtrooper to dispense final justice.

Elite Praetorian Guard

As the Supreme Leader of the First Order, Snoke stood atop an evil regime that mirrored many of the dark traditions of the Galactic Empire. As a striking example, Snoke was flanked by crimson-clad guardians, loyal protectors encased in the ornate armor ready to defend the Supreme Leader from any threat.

Porgs are probably the least interesting of the bunch to be honest, but those Elite Praetorian Guards and the Resistance Ski-Speeders look pretty damn cool. That formation of Ski-Speeders kicking up red dust trails was one of the best parts of the teaser trailer, and I can already hear John Williams' score swelling in the back of my head for when that scene happens in the film. Dry, dusty planets are a staple for Star Wars, so hopefully we spend a good chunk of time learning more about the landscape of Crait.
