Check Out an Exclusive Clip From the Indie Sci-Fi Film 'The Infinity Chamber'
There's a certain genre of sci-fi that takes a perverse joy in looking down a long list of techno-nightmares and saying "Yeah, let's make that into a movie." Whether it's The Cube or Event Horizon, you don't have to have Cenobites or a guy with a machete in a film to make it frightening. Enter The Infinity Chamber, an indie sci-fi film from director Travis Milloy that capitalizes on our modern fear of artificial intelligence. Here's the trailer and synopsis:

Opening quote
Trapped in a futuristic automated prison and subjected to relentless computer interrogation, a wrongfully imprisoned man must outwit his captors and escape to the outside world that may already be wiped out. Fans of cerebral science fiction will savor this haunting dystopian vision evoking Philip K. Dick and George Orwell.
Closing quote

Christopher Soren Kelly stars as Frank Lerner, the imprisoned main character, and Jesse D. Arrow voices Howard, the infuriatingly calm AI that won't answer Frank's questions about why he's here, what's he done, or even where "here" is. We've seen a number of AI antagonists like Howard (Hal 9000 and GLaDoS come to mind), but the fun of having a relentlessly polite artificial intelligence as the villain is always the dialogue—watching the contest of wits between man and machine is infinitely entertaining.

With that in mind, here's an exclusive clip from Infinity Chamber, which shows Frank arguing with Howard:

The full movie is currently in select theaters and available on Video On Demand on iTunesAmazon, Comcast, Spectrum, and more. You can learn more about the movie on its website!
