The Final Trailer for 'Stranger Things' Season 2 Will Make You Drop Your Eggos

Eleven is back, the threat is bigger, puberty has struck, and the final trailer for Stranger Things Season 2 is finally upon us.

Netflix waited until Friday the 13th to drop the action-packed, 2-minute-plus new trailer, and it was well worth the wait.

[Warning: This post contains mild spoilers for Season 1, which you definitely should have seen by now.]

True to form, the newest Stranger Things trailer gets off to a running start answering one of the biggest lingering questions left over from Season 1 with Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) returning to the drop box in the woods to snag the Eggos Detective Harper left behind for her.

It's Halloween in Hawkins, which means that at least 11 months have passed since the last time we saw Will shaking Christmas presents and puking up slugs, and things are obviously not back to normal.

Compared to the trailer for Season 1, this final trailer feels more like an action film, which may be an intentional nod to the tone of sequels of the era - consider this the Aliens compared to the original Alien - or it could just be an emphatic confirmation that Season 2 is far more than a rehash of what we saw in the show's debut season.

The trailer does a great job of not giving too much of the plot away while still showing us that the strange is strong in Season 2.

With quick glances at new characters showing us the band is back together (sans Barb), the final trailer for Season 2 teases mindblowing scenes evoking the best sci-fi and horror films of the '70s and '80s and a synth score that should thrill anyone who loves John Carpenter.

We are exactly two weeks away from the October 27 release date. Get your chocolate pudding and waffles ready...
