New 'Star Wars: The Last Jedi' Poster Reveals Possible Luke Skywalker Spoilers
Let the hype begin. The newly released international movie poster for Star Wars: The Last Jedi is already causing a stir, with fans pointing to new clues in the art to confirm longheld theories about what to expect in the upcoming film.
When it comes to a property as highly anticipated and as major as Star Wars: The Last Jedi, the potential for spoilers goes through the roof.
There are safeguards in place at Lucasfilm and Disney so that crucial information isn't leaked, but with eagle-eyed detectives watching the merchandising and various other Star Wars licenses, sometimes the smallest of details can send fans into a frenzy of plot theories.
That being said, there is a not-so-little detail in the international posters for the film that may have revealed something about Luke Skywalker, so if you don't want to know, stop reading now.
The new poster has all the old familiar faces striking the same familiar floating head poses, but this time Rey is at the top of the totem pole and Luke is off to the side... holding a blue lightsaber.
Luke's actual lightsaber, according to canon, is supposed to be green, which has led some to speculate that not only will Luke fight in the upcoming film, but he will do it with his father's weapon.
Last week, a similar discovery was made when the Alamo Drafthouse theater chain revealed its collectible glasses for the film with artwork by Oliver Barrett.
Not only was Luke holding the same blue lightsaber, but he was featured on the "Dark Side" glass with Kylo Ren and a bunch of Stormtroopers.
Alamo Drafthouse NYC responded to fan speculation on Twitter by saying that Lucasfilm would not let a theater chain spoil that big of a secret on a collectible.
For months, fans have been sharing their #EvilLuke theories suggesting that the one-handed Jedi will go full Anakin in the upcoming film, and the new poster and collectible glasses don't do much to disprove that.

It is still possible that all of this is a well-orchestrated misdirect to keep fans off the scent of the real twist... Jar Jar Binks is Snoke.
