Just before the big ball dropped in New York City, Netflix dropped the new trailer for Stranger Things Season 3, which has since become bigger news than the new crop of presidential candidates. Along with creepy, glitched-out video footage of Dick Clark's 1985 New Year's Rockin' Eve, the trailer had some flashes of what appeared to be computer screens with cryptic messages, along with some more subtle hints of what's to come.

The first major message in the trailer is the phrase "When Blue And Yellow Meet in the West," which fans have interpreted to have something to do with Mike and Eleven, who are wearing yellow and blue shirts (respectively) on the poster for the new season. However, observant fans (who have probably gone full Beautiful Mind at this point) have pointed out that the previously released commercial for Starcourt Mall (a fake location in Hawkins, Indiana) briefly shows a clock in the mall that has yellow and blue hands, which may give some insight into the time "yellow and blue meet". Unfortunately, the hands of a clock overlap 22 times per day, which doesn't narrow things down.

A more subtle clue? Eleven's name is apparently translated into Russian just as that screen glitches.

The second (and most obvious) message is "SilverCatFeeds," which appears on the boot-up screen of a computer apparently owned by a company called "LYNX CORP." Though the meaning behind "SilverCatFeeds" is still obscure, fans have found that the same phrase shows up in the Stranger Things behind-the-scenes book, titled Stranger Things: Worlds Turned Upside Down, along with "In the west the week is long," "when blue and yellow meet," "A trip to China sounds nice," and "if you tread lightly." As for LYNX Corp., fans have speculated that it may be the name of the new antagonists of the show.

We'll keep you posted as the mystery unravels, but either way, we're looking forward to Stranger Things 3 on July 4th!
