A New Jersey's high school's stage production of Ridley Scott's 1979 classic Alien has people talking from coast to coast. WLNY reports that students at North Bergen High School's drama club built large scale sets and incredibly detailed costumes – including, yes, the Xenomorph – from recycled materials for Alien – The Play, which quickly went viral after footage of a performance hit Twitter. According to Buzzfeed, the production, which included 15 sets and two aliens, was the work of just six students, art teacher Steven Defendini.

"We don't have really any budget - we recycle everything, everything is repurposed and recycled 10 times over until we get the look we need," Defendini told Buzzfeed. "Our performance of Alien really shows you can do so much with so little and as long as there is a passion there to do these things, they are possible." Last year, the club staged Night of the Living Dead.

Although the play ran for just two nights, Defendini says he is trying to find a slot for an additional performance.
