US Government Finally Admit That Area 51 Is Real
The US Government has finally admitted to the existence of Area 51, despite the fact the secret testing site has been public knowledge for years. The acknowledgement comes after George Washington University acquired an internal document that divulges many details about the mysterious base. The document was acquired following a Freedom of Information Act request back in 2005 and it confirms the facility's existence while also going some way to explain the large number of UFO sightings associated with the site.
The report states that in 1955, the government acquired the plot with a view to testing out their U-2 Spy Plane program, a fact which the document states, directly explains the area's links with UFO sightings. The U-2 was developed to spy on Soviet Russia during the Cold War and as such it was a top secret operation. The documents suggest that nearly half of all the UFO sightings reported in the area during the 50's and 60's were due to these top secret test flights taking place. But test flights take place all the time, why would U-2 and later OXCART test flights result in so many UFO sightings. Well, the document argues that because of the high altitude at which these test flights were conducted at, if people saw a craft that high in the sky, they would naturally assume it was not of this planet.
So that's it? Case closed? Don't count on it. Many will cry that this is all disinformation to cover up the little green men and classified alien technologies that they are really hiding. But one question does remain. Why, if the request for the release of this information was made in 2005, was it only released a matter of weeks ago? You can always rely on the Government to fuel a few new rumors by trying to disprove another. There is also no mention of what the Area 51 facility has been used for since 1974...
