'Gravity' Can Do No Wrong As New Trailer Is Released
As we all know, Alfonso Cuaron's new sci-fi thriller is hitting the festival circuit ahead of its October 4th release. We also know that it is receiving rave reviews from pretty much anyone who sets eyes on it. Now though, the hype for the film starring George Clooney and Sandra Bullock has reached new heights. Sci-Fi behemoth James Cameron has just dubbed Cuaron's creation as the "best space film ever done", which is a sound-bite that will only serve to increase the buzz around the film, much of which is Oscar related.
Cuaron also revealed that James Cameron played a minor yet significant role in the film's fruition. In an interview with Hollywood Reporter Cuaron discusses how when the film was in it's early stages, it was James Cameron's enthusiasm for the project that helped Cuaron get over his doubts on wheher or not it was technically possible. When Cuaron was getting advised be certain people in 'the biz' that the technology didn't exist to make the film, Cameron stepped in and convinced his fellow director that he should absolutely go for it, before dishing out some pointers on how it could be done.
As if this universal praise was not enough to get people salivating, a new trailer has been released that is without a doubt the best one yet. The two and a half minute trailer gives us a more well-rounded glimpse at just why Cuaron's film could end up being labelled a masterpiece. As per its predecessors, the trailer is dizzyingly tense and beautiful at the same time. This really looks like the sort of film you're going to want to watch over and over again, just so you can obsorb more of those beautiful backdrops.
