Vancouver Space Center Behind Baseball UFO
The baseball loving UFO that was spotted at a minor league game in Vancouver on the 3rd of September has now been identified. The nearby H.R Macmillan Space Center issued a press release confessing to the object's ownership. The sighting, which started out with fans tweeting pictures of an object hovering over the baseball stadium progressed to a video (seen above) which racked up more than 200,000 views on YouTube.
In all honesty, the pictures were actually more interesting than the video itself, but that didn't stop viewers furiously debating over the objects origin. But with the press release from the space center, we can finally get to the bottom of just what exactly it was that had baseball fans and internet viewers so flustered. It was not an extraterrestrial craft, it was in fact a drone in the shape of the center's new planetarium.
In the release, the center's team admit that they purposefully flew the drone to the baseball stadium as part of an elaborate promotion, which was planned in association with the Vancouver based ad agency MacLaren McMann. While it was a hoax, at least it was for a worthy cause and at least we know there wasn't something dodgy in the ball-park beer that caused a hallucination.
