Numerous UFO Sightings Lead To GTA V Conspiracy

Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto Five is pretty much the hottest thing in the world right now. The expansive RPG hit $1 Billion of revenue in just a few days, meaning at any given minute, hundreds of thousands of gamers are neglecting family members, partners and pets just so they can immerse themselves in this rich and wonderful world. It's no surprise then, that when this army of gamers started spotting bizarre alien artefacts and even UFO's during their game time, a massive conspiracy theory was constructed.

Labelled the 'Mount Chilliad Conspiracy', it all started when swarms of gamers discovered a mural at the Mt. Chilliad cable car station. Ancient in its appearance, this mural depicts some kind of flowchart leading to 3 items; a flying saucer, an egg and a man on a jet-pack. This chart will serve as the basis for the whole conspiracy, a code that is yet to be cracked. Couple this with the countless UFO sightings and missions to find sasquatch and you have a plot thicker than your grandma's custard.

Some resourceful buggers have managed to successfully superimpose the image from the mural onto GTA Vs vast map, a process which appears to hint at the locations of various clues needed to solve the mystery. So far, 4 UFOs and their locations have been documented, but many who are already knee-deep in this mystery believe this to simply be the start of a quest so large it almost matches the grand scale of this, the most successful game ever made.

So what exactly do we have here? Probably the biggest scavenger hunt in gaming history, that's what. Every hour people are discovering new clues hidden in the deepest corners of the GTA V world, so deep in fact, many are being found underwater and way, way up in the sky. Various websites have mobilized their forces of gamers in an attempt to be the first to discover the secret, but with 100% completion of the game estimated to take around 50-60 hours, this is not a quest for the faint of heart. The general consensus is that this is a mystery that can only be solved by utilizing all three of the games main characters as well as uncovering some incredibly well hidden Easter Eggs. So get your pen and paper out and prepare to get methodical on this mofo.

The truth is out there. No, really it is. If you want spoilers, the folks over at CVG have a whole host of videos dedicated to unravelling the Mount Chilliad Conspiracy and, to help you on your way they've published free guides on how to find the various UFOs and artefacts that have already been documented.
