Mass UFO Sightings Reports In Hunter, Australia
A small corner of Australia, not too far from Sydney, has become the country's latest UFO hot spot after multiple sightings have been reported in the area. On November 8th, local news outlet The Newcastle Herald writes that two families in the Hunter Region of New South Wales, Australia had reported seeing a strange object hovering above the nearby Lake Macquarie.
One of the witnesses reported seeing the object moving swiftly and erratically while rapidly changing color from red to blue. "At first I thought it was a flare, it was such a solid glowing blue," said Richard Hardy to the herald. "It came in from the North-West then slowly descended, and then it changed quickly from blue to red. Then it shot straight up and my wife reached for her phone camera and it changed back to blue then shot over towards the south-west."
The report from Hardy was added to by a writer at the local paper, Jim Kellar. Kellar confirmed that the object was indeed changing color, but from his vantage point not far away, it was changing from red to yellow. Both groups of witnesses have described themselves as sceptical people, but sighting the object has them completely baffled.
Since the reports were published by the Herald, the paper has received even more claims of bizarre objects spotted by local residents. One such resident is astronomer Col Maybury who, discovered a strange object on photos he had taken while watching bats. "The weird thing is that it was only when I downloaded the image from my work camera to my laptop that I saw it." said Mabury.
But as Ian Kirkwood of the Newcastle Herald discovered, this wasn't the first time that local residents had spotted strange objects in the skies. On September 30th, another local family were baffled by a blue object on the horizon, but this time they managed to get a video of it, which you can watch up top.
So far, the most common explanation for these reports has been that of Comet ISON, which will soon be making its peak pass of the Sun, making it visible to the naked eye. However, this would seem a flawed proposition, with almost all the reports stating bizarre movements and color changes, is it not more likely to be a quadcopter than a comet?
