Christopher Nolan Attaches IMAX Camera To A Learjet For Interstellar
Well, Christopher Nolan doesn't do things by halves does he? As if the plot of his upcoming sci-fi adventure Interstellar wasn't enough to get you excited, Mr. Nolan is apparently using an IMAX camera attached to a Learjet to capture what are sure to be some spectacular sequences. The images were leaked by on Twitter by @PaulJFranklin, a man who has worked with Nolan on a number of occasions. As can be the case with images like this, the images were swiftly taken down and later, Franklin's twitter account was mysteriously offline. Luckily though, they weren't swept off the internet before they could be uploaded to Reddit
It isn't clear what sort of footage Nolan is going to be collecting with the Learjet, but really, who cares?! He is using an IMAX camera on the nose of a LEARJET! If the sequences collected with this 'IMAX-Jet' are half as brilliant as the method of filming them, then Interstellar is going to be one heck of a film.
Interstellar, which is scheduled for release in November 2014 will follow a group of people who manage to unlock the power of a wormhole allowing them to travel deeper into space than any human before them. It's an exciting premise and Nolan appears to have assembled a cast that is worthy of the project's ambition. Matthew McConaughey will star alongside Jessica Chastain and Anne Hathaway while support will come in the form of Michael Cain, David Oyelowo and Casey Affleck.
