Bizarre Alien-Like Creature Spotted In Bristol Harbour, UK
*Update - 12/06/2013*
The object has now been confirmed as part of a publicity stunt for TV show 'The Happenings'. The object was the subject of over 3.5million tweets with videos of the event receiving well over 100,000 views.
The waters of Bristol Harbour in South West England are not known for containing a plethora of exotic and unknown species. So consider, if you will, what would happen when a bizarre alien-like creature with glowing tentacles gets spotted in those very waters. Witnessed by multiple people on Tuesday evening, this 'creature' has experts totally baffled. Some say it is a bioluminescent jellyfish, others say it is a collection of LED lights, others say it is not of this Earth, but what they all agree on is that you wouldn't expect to find such an object in Bristol Harbour.
A host of marine biologists have attempted and failed to confirm the identity of the creature, which was seen for around 30 minutes glowing brightly in the murky harbour waters. This lack of identification has naturally led to a great deal of speculation about its origins. Biologists believe that its appearance in Bristol could be due to strong spring tides which drag all kinds of creatures out of their usual habitats.
The above video gives you a nice overview of the scene caused by the objects arrival, but if you want a closer look at it, check out this video which show the objects tentacles in a lot more detail.
What do you make of the evidence? Is it organic? Is it mechanical? Is it of this Earth?!
