New Years Eve UFOs In California Hit The Headlines
A series of UFO sightings spanning much of California this New Years Eve created so much buzz that local news stations sent reporters to investigate. The reports were as varied as their locations with multiple, slow moving objects witnessed in some parts and large, fast moving objects in others. So were the nations New Years celebrations being observed by unexplainable phenomena or are these reports merely a predictable festive mix up?
The most straightforward account to would seem to be one from a Stockton, Ca resident who reported seeing multiple objects from his home on Tuesday evening. Of the objects, the witness said "I saw six bright orange colored lights and they were in an almost diamond or triangle shape, it was weird. Then they just started separating." As perplexed as he may be, it would be remiss not to suggest that this is a classic case of festive Chinese Fire Lanterns baffling people across the area. Indeed, similar reports came in from across the country on Tuesday with footage being taken coast to coast. The popularity of Chinese Fire Lanterns has grown massively in recent years and for many they are a mainstay of holiday celebrations, but it would appear that for others they are merely a source of confusion!
While the Stockton report may seem like a classic case of mistaken identity, others from across California were more curious. An Auburn couple reported seeing a large illuminated object slowly moving across the sky, while a few hours later in Sacramento another large object was seen briefly before disappearing at an astonishing speed.
So, New Years Eve caps off what has been an incredible year for UFO sightings and here's to hoping that 2014 is going to be even better.
