Will Wonder Woman Have Alien Origins In Man of Steel Sequel?
Throughout 2013, rumors over a Wonder Woman appearance on the big screen were rife. When it was announced that the Amazonian warrior princess would make an appearance in Zack Snyder's Man of Steel sequel 'Batman vs Superman', rumors shifted to which actress would be playing her. Former Miss Universe Gal Gadot won that battle and we're all left wondering just how this beloved character will be introduced into DC's cinematic universe. But we may be a step closer to an answer, that is if we are to believe Jett from Batman-On-Film.com who is pretty certain on some of the finer details of Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman.
"Personally, I'd say it'll be about on par with Scarlett Johansson's first appearance as Black Widow in Iron Man 2," said Jett of Wonder Woman's appearance in Batman vs Superman. "I believe that it's a cameo-plus type of role that will (hopefully) serve as a springboard to a solo Wonder Woman movie.
With All that said, I'd bet a year's pay - in Monopoly money, of course - that the 'Amazons' of this cinematic DCU will be descendants of those 'ancient Kryptonians' who attempted to set up outposts throughout spacedom thousands and thousands of years ago."
So, could Zack Snyder et al really be about to transform Wonder Woman from myth to science fiction? How will fans respond to one of their favourite DC characters suddenly having a similar alien origin to Superman. If this rumor is true, Warner Bros and DC must clearly have a very distinct vision for a Wonder Woman feature film. But hey, at least that means there may well be a Wonder Woman feature film right?!
