Scarlett Johansson's Alien Abduction Movie 'Under The Skin' Gets US Release Date
< >

Good news for US moviegoers. Distributor A24 has finally set a release date for 'Under the Skin' which stars Scarlett Johansson playing a beautiful alien seductress who preys on the unwitting male population of Scottish towns. The sci-fi thriller directed by Jonathan Glazer gained a strong reception at film festival screenings last year, but until September the picture was without a US distributor. A24, the company who eventually picked up the rights to Under the Skin have since kept us waiting for a US release date, but as of today, the wait is over...

Under the Skin will now hit theaters on *April 4th 2014*, pitting it against its big-budget sci-fi counterpart, Captain America: Winter Soldier. This mean's that Scarlett Johansson is set to dominate movie screens over the first weekend of April as the fan favourite also plays a major role in Captain America's second solo outing. However, for fans of the actress and fans of real science fiction, 'Under the Skin' will no doubt be the bigger draw.

Under the Skin is based on the 2001 novel of the same name by Michael Faber and tells the graphic tale of an alien sent to Earth to procure a humans for a corporation on her home planet, where their flesh is considered a delicacy.
