Flights Delayed After UFO Sighting At German Airport
After an official investigation into the incident which led to flight cancellations, delays and re-routes the local police force have concluded that the UFO in question was in fact a model plane. According to The Local, over 50 people witnessed the event which occurred earlier this month. It is thought that many of these witnesses had mistaken a police helicopter that was scrambled to intercept the UFO, as the UFO itself.
Flights in and out of Germany's Bremen airport were disrupted yesterday after a UFO was detected in the area by Air Traffic Control Radars. The unidentified object appeared on radar scanners multiple times during Monday evening and according to some local sources, the object was even spotted visually by airport employees.
According to The Local, police were first alerted to the object's presence at approximately 6:30pm local time and reports continued until around 9:30pm, one of which came from a local police patrol car. A police helicopter was scrambled to hunt down the object, but at 8:40pm the search was called off.
The appearance of the object caused one flight to be diverted, another cancelled cancelled and one flight from Paris was forced to stay airborne until it was given clearance to land. As of yet no witness descriptions have been released, but it is thought that the object was flying incredibly low, which would explain the multiple 'on-the-ground' sightings.
This latest airport UFO sighting comes after the UK Aviation Authority released the details of an investigation into a UFO sighting from an airline pilot near Heathrow airport last summer.
