Has The Captain America: Winter Soldier Post Credits Scene Been Revealed?
One of the wonderful quirks with Marvel movies are the post-credits scenes, most of which reveal and tease plot details future Marvel outings. From the very first time Nick Fury appeared (after Iron Man) right through to the brilliant teaser at the end of last year's Thor: The Dark World, these teasers have become just as big of a talking part as the movies they follow. Now, according to Lainey Gossip we may know the details of the post-credits scence for April's Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
*Warning - Spoilers Ahead*
It may be an odd source for this type of news to come from, but apparently the person involved has access to early screenings of Marvel films, a benefit that may have ceased if they are now revealing plot secrets. Here's what they had to say:
"But the thing that's probably going to leave people talking the most is the post-credits stinger. They're call them 'The Twins', the brother-sister team of Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch, and they don't look like any Marvel heroes we've met to date. Having seen them, I am really sad for Fox and the X-Men, because this sh*t...is horrible in and of itself, but in comparison it's outright embarrassing."
Of course, Lainey is referring to the slightly awkward fact that a different Quicksilver is set to make an appearance in Fox's X-Men: Days of Future Past, but if this rumor is true, it looks like the folks at Marvel will be getting theirs onto the big screen first. And why wouldn't this be true? It's perfectly logical to suggest that Captain America: The Winter Soldier would serve as a platform to tease Marvel's next Avengers movie, and what better way to do it than introducing the new Avenger's duo.
Many expected the second Cap film to tease Guardians of the Galaxy, I personally thought it would tease Ant-Man, but it would seem that Marvel have stumped us all by giving us our first look at Elizabeth Olsen and Aaron Taylor-Johnson. And, while they may not look anything like any Marvel heroes we've seen before, they can't look any worse than Fox's Quicksilver....
Captain America: The Winter Soldier is released on April 4th 2014 and you can watch the first full length trailer for the movie up top.
