Pixar Confirms Incredibles 2 Is In The Works
Disney's Pixar animation studio has today confirmed that Incredibles 2 is actually going to happen. Pixar and Incredibles fans (myself included) will be overjoyed at the news that one of the studio's most beloved properties is going to return in all its spandexy glory.
The announcement was made by Disney CEO Robert A. Iger at a shareholder meeting earlier today. Iger confirmed that Brad Bird has completed a script for the sequel that will hopefully see the return of Mr. Incredible, his family, and most importantly...Edna Mode!
Incredibles 2 will be bolstered by an upcoming release of Incredibles in 3D, while It was also confirmed that a 'Cars 3' is in the works.
It all means Brad Bird is going to be a busy man over the next few years with the writer/director already working on Disney's Tomorrowland which is set for a 2015 release. No potential release dates were set for the Incredibles sequel, but fans shouldn't get their hopes up of it reaching screens any time before late 2016.
