Bill Clinton On Aliens Visiting Earth - "I Wouldn't Be Surprised"
You can rely on Bill Clinton for a great presidential soundbite on most topics, but I never thought I would hear him talking about aliens visiting Earth. Clinton was on the Jimmy Kimmel show last night and the chat show host wasted no time in trying gauge the President's feelings towards the UFO phenomena and the idea of alien visitation.
When Kimmel asks if he had ever looked up classified files regarding UFOs, Clinton cooly responds with "Sort of", before going on to explain that when the anniversary of the Roswell Incident rolled around, he had all the papers on the event pulled out and reviewed. Clinton also tried getting his hands on details of secret goings on in Area 51, but had less success due to the highly secretive nature of the stealth technologies that were being developed there.
In a moment of classic Clinton candor, Clinton admits that if he had found evidence of aliens hidden within those documents, he would absolutely tell the public. But just because he never found any evidence that aliens have visited Earth, that's not to say he doesn't believe that such an event is unlikely.
"I'm trying to tell you, I don't know," said Clinton. "But if we were visited some day by aliens, I wouldn't be surprised. I just hope that it wouldn't be like Independence Day."
