Spoiler Alert! Leaked Plot details from Jurassic World
Update - New images have been released which detail the Velociraptor Paddock from the
After a decade of development and major anticipation from its hardcore fans, filming on the latest "Jurassic Park" movie is now well underway in Hawaii. So far, the filming process has been kept rather secretive, with very little revealed about the reboot's screenplay details or what new characters the film will feature. However, JoBlo claims to have gotten their hands on a few potentially spoiler-laden plot details.
Apparently, the new film takes place 22 years after the events of the last movie at a now well-established and fully functional Jurassic Park theme park, located on a Coastal island near Florida that visitors can only access by shuttle boats. The park's main attractions include a dino petting zoo, a hologram info center, and a "Gyrosphere" which takes guests right into the dinosaur's habitat.
As expected, there's big trouble brewing as the scientists, eager to make an exciting attraction to keep visitors coming back for more, decide to breed a new dinosaur species using DNA from a T-Rex, Velociraptor, and interestingly enough, snakes and cuttlefish. Unsurprisingly, this hybrid beast becomes the film's main antagonist, and the leaked spoilers describe how this dinosaur is a seemingly unstoppable force with a perfect storm of ancient capabilities.
"The bad dinosaur has instant camouflage abilities, like the cuttlefish, so he blends into the background, is smart like the velociraptor, uses his jaw like a snake, and can terrorize like the T-Rex". says JoBlo's Paul Shirey.
It's still unconfirmed whether there will be only one of these ultimate dinosaur hybrids, or if it will spawn an army of destructive younglings, but the potential for the beast to 'breed' new beasts for sequels will no doubt be an option.
To defeat the hybrid dinosaur, the film's hero (Chris Pratt) creates an army of 'good' dinosaurs to combat the rampaging science experiment. What happens next is probably something akin to the events seen in Godzilla and Pacific Rim - destruction on a large scale.
Some fans of the original films might object to the idea of any dinosaurs being deemed as "good", after all, most of them are ancient killing machines with nary a care for human beings. Also, some fans may be skeptical of how scary this hybrid beast will be because, let's face it, when creating a super villain, it's an interesting choice to make it part cuttlefish. But if it means we get something like a T-Rex with Predator-like camouflage abilities, we can totally dig it.
These plot details are obviously just heresay right now, but if they do get confirmed by Spielberg and co. we won't be too upset. This is a premise that is just bonkers enough to work with a leading man like Pratt and a legendary director like Spielberg at the helm. "Jurassic World" is set to hit theaters on June 12, 2015.
Below are the few teaser images that were released earlier on this year.
