Lupita Nyong'o and Gwendoline Christie Join Star Wars Cast
LucasFilm just leaked the names of two new members recently added to J.J. Abrams' growing "Star Wars" cast. Lupita Nyong'o from "12 Years as a Slave" and Gwendoline Christie from "Game of Thrones" will soon be joining the ranks of John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Andy Serkis, Max von Sydow, Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher.
Lucasfilm President President Kathleen Kennedy announced that she "could not be more excited about Lupita and Gwendoline joining the cast of Episode VII," and that "It's thrilling to see this extraordinary talented ensemble taking shape." >Nyong'o tweeted "I can finally say it out loud and proud: I'm going to a galaxy far far away!"
This news only adds to the increasing buzz surrounding the newest addition to the "Star Wars" franchise. "Episode VII" takes place thirty years after the death of Darth Vader, and focuses on a new trio of characters as well as everyone's favorites from the originals. The film is set to be released on December 18, 2015.
