Samuel L. Jackson Bows Out of Star Wars Franchise
The exceedingly elegant Samuel L. Jackson gracefully bowed out of the "Star Wars" franchise in an interview with the Lorraine Show this morning, expressing his desire to concentrate on other aspects of his career while politely wishing all the best to the upcoming films. Asked if he would have wanted to have a part in the new episode, he responded: "No, not really — I thought I did and it would've been interesting but if I don't get the call, I have so many things going on that I can do and hopefully that new era of 'Star Wars' films will be as popular as the ones that we did and the ones that were done before."
But don't feel too bad for our beloved Mace Windu. Anyone who can do this will certainly be just fine. In his own words, he has "so many things going on that [he] can do."
Jackson had more to add about Harrison Ford's >recent foot injury. Jackson thinks that "something went terribly awry" on the Abrams set. He adds, "I'm sure it wasn't because he wanted to or it was something he was doing [...] I'm sure something went terribly awry if that happened because most times insurance companies don't like us doing those things!"
Hmmm... We're not quite sure what Jackson is trying to say with his ambiguous pronouns, but it's motherf*cking Samuel L. Jackson, so we'll take his word for it.
