Could Harrison Ford's Injury Postpone The Release Of Star Wars Episode VII?
A worrying rumor is circulating regarding Harrison Ford's recent on-set injury and the release of J.J Abrams' Star Wars: Episode VII. When Ford was hurt during filming earlier this month, reports on the severity of his injury varied wildly before it was revealed the actor would be out of action for 6-8 weeks with a broken ankle. However, earlier today Jedi Newsreported on a nasty rumor that Ford has in fact broken his leg, an injury that could see the 71 year old kept out of work for up to 6 months!
If this rumor is true - and that is a big 'if' - it could have a disastrous impact on Abrams production.
"Word of an emergency meeting at Pinewood Studios this morning reached Star Wars fandom, with the upshot being that with Ford returning to the States to convalesce, the film could have little option but to either cease production, rewrite the script to remove Ford from the film altogether or at the very least make significant changes to the accomodate Ford's recovery schedule."
Well, this is all we have to say about that...
Indeed, any further rewrites would be disastrous, especially if it limits the screen time of everyone's favorite space scoundrel, but let's take a step back here. This is a totally unqualified rumor, a rumor that would seem to fly in the face of a statement given by the Ford's rep as he left a London over the weekend.

His surgery was successful and he will begin rehab shortly," said a statement by Ford's rep. "He's doing well and looks forward to returning to work."
You know what that sounds like to me?
