Mysterious UFO Signs Baffle Residents of East Aurora, NY
Are aliens coming for the cattle of New York State? Since the start of the summer, a series of strange street signs have been mysteriously popping up around the upstate New York town of East Aurora. The seemingly standard yellow traffic signs depict UFOs hovering above livestock beaming them in, and it's got residents and officials baffled.
Nobody knows what these signs are or where they came from. A few believe it's a warning from extraterrestrials in need of our Earthly livestock, whereas others are on the lookout for pranksters.. "I don't know whose idea it was, or maybe the aliens put them up, who knows!" East Aurora resident Bill Bernhardi told News 4. Mayor Mayor Allan Kasprzak thinks it's from someone from inside the town— he has his suspicions in particular on a local food coop, although they have denied any affiliation with the signs. "I believe it might be the East Aurora Food Cooperative that's trying to get off the ground. That's my hunch, but I'm not positive," the mayor said.
News 4 seemed a little more concerned with the signs themselves than with who the culprit for them is. They asked local figures some questions concerning the town's history of UFO cow abductions. "I've never responded to an alien abduction of a cow, no," East Aurora Fire Chief Roger LeBlanc told them. Gayle Thorpe, a local organic dairy farmer reiterated, "No, not where they disappeared into the air. They might try and escape occasionally,"
So if there's no history of cow abduction, what the hell are these signs for?! Are they some sort of social commentary? This one's tough to crack. Perhaps it's some form advertising campaign for these brilliant Alien Abduction Lamps:
