An Alien vs Predator Haunted House Is Coming To Universal Studios This Halloween
Universal Studios are resurrecting the terror of extraterrestrial warfare this fall with a new Alien vs Predator haunted house, placing humans right in the middle of a battle between two of the Galaxy's most fearsome beings. While the AVP movie may have struggled to take advantage of the ultimate alien mash-up, the idea of an interactive Alien vs Predator experience sounds absolutely brilliant and is sure to attract legions of sci-fi fans to the Universal Studios' Halloween Horror Nights this year.
Built in the form of a dimly lit maze, the haunted house will challenge visitors to escape the winding halls as they are hunted by Predators and Xenomorphs. In a statement, Resort executives revealed that human actors dressed as Predators will be littered across the maze, while a host of hi-tech animatronic Xenomorphs will be ready to pounce when you least expect.
"We're employing our full arsenal of tricks and techniques in translating the AVP: Alien vs. Predator brand into an authentic and horrific maze experience," said Universal Resorts' Michael Aiello. "Puppetry, elaborate costumes and unique environments have all been created in close collaboration with Twentieth Century Fox. Our guests are going to be thrown head first into this epic battle where only the strong will survive. This is truly going to be an out-of-this-world maze experience that the fans have been waiting for."
Universal's Halloween Horror Nights have been running for almost 20 years now and this year, visitors will also be able to dive into the worlds of The Purge: Anarchy, From Dusk Til Dawn, and The Walking Dead. But if being subjected to these horrors is not your jam, then you may want to take a more active approach and apply for Universal's open audition for 'scare actors' at this year's East and West coast events.
Universal's Halloween Horror Nights begin September 19th in Orlando, Los Angeles and Singapore.
