Ant-Man Adds Four New Cast Members
The cast is getting a little bigger for Marvel's smallest hero. Four new cast members have been added for the upcoming film: Dawn of the Planet of the Apes's Judy Greer, Mad Men's John Slattery, Boardwalk Empire's Bobby Cannavale, and rapper T.I. (no, really).
The film also stars Paul Rudd as the titular hero, who can shrink to diminutive size while increasing exponentially in strength, while Michael Douglas plays his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym, Lost's Evangeline Lilly plays Dr. Pym's daughter, Hope Van Dyne, and The Strain's Corey Stoll plays the main villain, Yellowjacket.
The official synopsis for the film is as follows: "Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, con-man Scott Lang (Rudd) must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym (Douglas), protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world."
Principal photography for the movie began today in San Francisco, and the film is expected to be released on July 17, 2015.
